How Remaps collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how Remaps Ltd ("Remaps", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and stores personal data through this platform. For more information concerning the data collected via our website https://remaps.ai/, please refer to the relevant Privacy Policy.

1. Type of personal data held by Remaps

'Personal data' means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ('data subject'); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

Personal data held by Remaps concerns the users of the Platform.

The data to be collected includes:

  1. Basic Identity Identifiers (including name, telephone number, and e-mail address).
  2. Payment and billing information.

2. For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We collect and process your personal data for the purpose of providing our services to you and for the purpose of complying with our obligations under any contract we may have with you and with the Law. We may also use your personal information to send newsletters and other updates concerning us, provided that you are subscribed to the list of recipients of such emails or that you have not objected to that use.

The lawful bases for the processing of your personal data, under Article 6 of the GDPR, are: (a) the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) for the provision of the Services; (b) compliance with our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)); and (c) our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims, in securing our Platform, and in maintaining and improving the Services. For sending newsletters and/or event invitations, the lawful basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

3. To whom we share your personal information with?

We do not sell your personal data, and we share it only where necessary and on a lawful basis. We may share your personal data:

  1. (a) to the competent public services and judicial authorities, whether to comply with our legal obligations or to exercise and defend our rights, and
  2. (b) to third parties providing services to us, such as IT Service Providers, service providers and storage facilities, translation agencies, and lawyers with whom we work, and only to the extent which is necessary for the provision of services to us and/or you. When the said service providers perform services to us, they act as processors and therefore process personal data solely on behalf of and on the basis of recorded orders by us and are not entitled to re-use the data for their own benefit.

4. Accessing this Platform and creation of log files

Information is collected every time the Platform is accessed or used. The temporary storage of access data and log files is lawful pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interests), namely our interest in delivering, securing, and ensuring the stability of the Platform and in detecting and preventing misuse. The IP address is temporarily stored in the system as it is necessary to provide Platform access to the User's device and to maintain the security of the service.

The data will be deleted when they are no longer needed for the purpose they were collected. For data collected to provide access to the platform, this will be at the end of every session. For log files, this will occur after 30 days at the latest.
